My dear cousin... I've tried to write this note several times, but struggle to articulate the words I want to say as there are so many emotions to push through. I never thought our brunch would be the last day I would see you in the physical. But I cherish that moment. Because in it, I had so much happiness and hope. Your strength and fighter spirit has a contagious affect. All who know you, like myself, likely felt, "Lauren's got this... she's a fighter." There's comfort in that. Now my comfort has transitioned to knowing that you are in our Heavenly Father's arm. I'll sign this candle by promising you we all have your baby girl. As long as I have breath in my body, I will always be there for her. I love you little cousin. - Andrea

I really wish the circumstances were different because the words are hard to gather because I’m still processing the news. You are a great woman and friend. I will cherish the memories we had together . You shown me nothing but kindness, optimism , respect , honesty , wit and strength. Thats who you are as a person. I know you greeted God with a smile and a joke of some sort. Thank you for allowing me to be in your presence and continue being a gift that you are to all of us that you grace. The Mitchell family is sending condolences of hugs, love, and prayers during this time. Lauren's spirit and smile was one that Zo and I will always remember when Ty introduced her to us @ TIU. To now have such a wonderful personal guardian angel is demonstrative of God's love for every single family member.
